Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

We know we haven’t been beary good about updating our blog. Mommy had surgery and couldn’t type beary good with one hand and we don’t gots thumbs so we couldn’t tell you what we were doing. So… here’s our Chrismuss letter with some updates and we’ll try to be gooder about updating our blog this year!!

It’s been a long time since most of you heard from us and it’s been a real busy year!!

Working at Habitat for Humanity

Last winter we getted to help work on a Habitat house with Mommy. It was really cool!! We getted to play with tools and measure stuff and everything! For Mommy’s barfday we goed to Minnesnowda. We had fun and getted to play in the snow and we goed to the Mall of America. Pretty soon it was spring and we played outside in the clovers and smelled all the pretty flowers. Nana and Poppa comed to Hugetown right after the Easter Bunny was here and Mommy went to the hopspital and getted her’s arm fixed. Her couldn’t use it for more than a month. Nana and Poppa comed from Minnesnowda to help us take care of her. Nana getted to be good friends with our puppy, Macaroon. Great Grandma goed to Heaven right after Mommy getted her sling off so we rided to Minnesnowda with Nana and Poppa. It was nice to get out of the apartment, but it was sad we hadda go to a funeral. Mommy flied back home and we helpeded her out while her getted her arm back in shape.

This summer we getted to go on bacation with Mommy. Her had a class in Furginia and we goed, too. It was really cool to go there because we goed to Washaton DC. We seed the Lincoln Memorial, the Washaton Monument, the White House and lots and lots of other cool stuff!! We goed to Mommy’s cousin’s house in Maryland, too. We had a blast there because there are three little boys there and boy, do they know how to play! Whew! We taked a boat ride in Annapolis with them. It was loads of fun and then we goed to a restaurant and eated crabs and shrimps. Yumm-o!!

In August we goed back to Minnesnowda on bacation and had fun. We stayed with Mommy’s friend in Wisconsin for a few days. We seed lots of cool farm stuff. We getted our pictures taken with sunflowers and soy beans and we getted to see where Great Grandpa’s farm was in Wisconsin. Poppa letted us roast marshmallows in him’s fire pit. That was fun!!

In September we hadda leave again to go back to Furginia. When we getted home we finded out our apartment getted drenched because the roof broked after Hurricane Ike. That was poopy!! Our friends helpeded us move  and them were really awesome! Mommy’s friends from church letted us stay at their house until we getted a new place. We had fun staying there because they are Washaton Redskins fans and we getted a Redskins football uniform while we were in Furginia. We getted moved into our new apartment but we’re still not quite unpacked yet.

We had Thanksgiving in Hugetown and we getted to watch lots and lots of movies!! Mommy taked us to her other friend’s house and we played the Wii all weekend long. That was royally fun!! In the beginning of December iIt snowed a bunch and we builded a snow bunny!! The beary next day we seed the Space Shuttle on its way to Florida. That was sooo cool!!

Whew! It was a beary busy year and we’re glad this one is over. We’re hoping next year is quieter and we getta play more. Mommy said we might getta Wii of our own to play with. That would be fun!! We’re looking forward to playing with our friends, Benjamine and Monkey & Timmy and exchanging post cards and stuff with everybody like Seamus & Shortbread, Teddy2Bears, Growler, Mr. Moo, Flt Lt Bear and lots of other cool friends who have really cool adbentures!!

Top O’ the Morning to You!!

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!

We’re part Irish so we wanted to wish you all a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! Mommy said her would take us to Dairy Queen for a Mint Oreo Blizzard!! Yay!! Anybody coming along?

We goed hunting for four-leafed clovers and we didn’t find any. We did find an Irish Bear friend at Barnes & Noble the other night, though. Him was beary nice. We wanted to bring him home, but him said him had to work late and couldn’t get out early. There were other places Mommy needed to go so we hadda say goodbye to our new friend because we couldn’t wait for him to get off work.

Mommy says that traditional dinner for St. Patrick’s Day is corned beef and cabbage. Mommy said we could have that if we want. There’s a guy in Hugetown who plays him’s bagpipes on the roof of a pub. We thought that might be cool to see, but Mommy gots to work tomorrow. We’d rather have a St. Patrick’s Day Parade with all of our friends, anyway.

An Ode to Pi

Guess, what? Today, March 14th, is Pi Day!! So… we writed a little poem.

Ode to Pi

There once was a man who liked Pi.
To divide 22/7 he did try.
He tried with ground round,
Not a circle was found,
Nor was any spilled on his tie.

The Sturgeon

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!

Mommy has had a few problems the past couple of years. Her had a ski accident when I was just a little bunny and her hadda have surgery on her knee. It was really bad. Her was in a brace and on crutches for almost a whole year, but her did all of her therapy and everything worked out okay. When we moved here, her didn’t getta go outside and play as much as her did in Minnesnowda and her knee getted sore again but her goed to the doctor and they gived her some medicine to make it feel better. In 2005, her friends from work convinced her to ride her bike from Hugetown to Austin. Her did that and finished. Yay!!! Good job, Mommy!! Her was riding it again in 2006 and her other leg stopped working so her goed back to the doctors again and her had surgery on both of her knees at Thanksgiving right after we first joined Flickr.

That sorta helped her and then her was playing softball and swimming and stuff and her shoulder was hurting her so her goed back to the doctor again. They sended her to lots and lots of therapy to see if they could fix it. It getted better but it still hurted so when her goed back the doctor wanted to take a picture called a MRI. When they taked the picture them found a owie in her shoulder and her’s going to have to have surgery for that. It will be right after Easter. We are very busy helping the Easter Bunny during Eastertime so her hadda schedule it for after that weekend. The good thing is that Nana and Poppa are going to come and help us take good care of her because her won’t be able to use her arm for more than a month! That will be lots of fun because they will buy us lots of Dairy Queen Blizzards!!

Her’s been practicing doing things with only her left arm. It’s kind of funny to watch sometimes because her is right-handed. We think her’s going to be eating just chicken nuggets and toaster waffles for that whole time because when her eats with just her left hand, her needs a bib!! There’s lots of stuff we’ll have to help with like washing hands and putting contacts in and stuff like that where you need two hands. Her said yesterday that her will need to find some slip-on shoes to wear because her won’t be able to tie hers herself. We could probably get the puppies to do it but they might chew up the laces playing tug instead.

We’re letting you know because we probably won’t be able to take many pictures or do many blog posts for a while after her has her surgery because we’ll be busy taking care of her. Her said we would try to take a bunch of pictures of stuff before her has the surgery and we can post them in little bits while her can’t use her arm. We’ll try to keep you posted when it happens, but if you don’t hear from us, you know why.

Busy Weekends

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

Gregg and I goed with Mommy last weekend and we getted to do lots of cool things! First we went to the Habitat for Humanity house that her is helping to build. It is really neat to see how fast Mommy and her friends build a house even though they only work on weekends. Gregg and I even getted to help!! With our engineering skills, we worked on the plans for the porch and then we helped put some stuff together. We meeted new friends and had lots of fun!

There is a fire truck in Texiss City we getted to work on and that was pretty cool. We were in fireman training class and we learned lots about how the hoses go on and the water valves when it pumps water and all kinds of cool stuff. We getted to have our picture taken on the truck, too. We asked Mommy if her would let us go to firefighter school and buy us uniforms. Her said her would see what her could do.

After we was done building for the day we found a patch of clover. We asked Mommy to stop and check it out because we like a little clover salad from time to time and wanted to pick some. When we getted to the clover, we finded some Texas Bluebonnets and a new friend there, too! In the clover patch was a cute little moo cow! We getted our friends, Moo and Morris, to help translate what the cow said. When we was driving, Mommy finded the horsie ranch where our friend Colorado lives and the little cow ran into the barn there to be with the rest of her family. We was sad to see her go so soon after we meeted her, but we’ll go visit her sometimes.

It was a beary busy weekend!! Now that spring and Easter are coming we’ll be beary busy!!

Great-Grandpa, We Miss You

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!

Mommy reminded us that today is the day 4 years ago that we finded out Great-Grandpa went to Heaven. We miss him lots and hope that somebody went to him’s grave today and said hello. We tell him hello when we say our prayers before we go to bed every night. Mommy telled us that there are a lot of little kids in Heaven who needed a cool Grandpa like him and so him’s taking care of them. We hope those little kids love him as much as me, Karmel, Spam, Mommy, Auntie Wisa, Miss Mouse and CJ do.

Happy Birthday, Poppa!!!

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

It’s Poppa’s birthday!! We getted him a cool card, but we didn’t get it in the mail until after him’s birthday. We called him and telled him Happy Birthday, and guess what?!? We was the first ones to call him!! That was pretty cool because Auntie Wisa usually has CJ and Miss Mouse sing Happy Birthday to peoples first thing in the morning.

We wanted to get him a cool present, but Nana wouldn’t let us. Poppa said him wanted to hook up the puter to the telebision so him could record stuff on the puter. Mommy finded a puter thingee that him could use but Nana said him didn’t need one. We asked Poppa what him wanted and him said him doesn’t know. Can you believe that?!? We can’t!  So now Mommy gots to figure something else out. Hopefully him will tell us what him wants pretty soon!!

Moving Update

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

Remember how I told you almost exactly a month ago that we was moving? Well, now we’re not. It was a beary stressful month for Mommy. The peoples in the apartment office wanted lots of extra monies in rent that her couldn’t afford. We looked at all kinds of other places. Her taked us to look at other apartment complexes and some condos and townhouses and even a house we could have all to ourselves. Those places were pretty expensive, too, so her was thinking about living in a house with a roommate, too. That was kinda scary for us because Mommy was gonna hafta store a bunch of her stuff and we couldn’t have all of our toys at the new place. But… the apartment peeps turned out to be good eggs and our rent will still be more but not as much as they wanted at first. We’re glad because Mommy didn’t really want to pack the boxes in the first place. We’re also glad because me and Mommy was both beary sick after we getted back from Minnesnowda. We even hadda go to the doctor and get some new stuff for our noses. Thankfully, we’re all better now and spring is right around the corner, so that’s good. We’re going to try to take more pictures and do more stuff on the blog. But Mommy said we gotta gets our taxes done first. Whatever that means.

Happy Barfday, Mommy!!

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!

Well, we flied to Minnesnowda on Mommy’s barfday! We getted there about 3:00 and Poppa picked us up at the airport. Poppa taked us to see Great-Grandma H. and then we meeted Nana for supper at this Mongolian place. It was pretty good. It was a little weird because you didn’t get your own table – they have big long tables and they sit lots of people next to you that you don’t know. It wasn’t too bad. There were some older people on my left and some high school girls on the other side of Poppa. They talked the whole time. I don’t know when they had time to eat because them talked so much!!

After supper we goed to Walmart to buy groceries for Great-Grandma Julie. It’s COLD in the car at night!! After we getted done in the store we getted back in the car and I shivered all the way to Great-Grandma’s!! Her was happy to see us and I getted to play with her two puppies while I was there.

The next day we goed to the Mall of America with Auntie Wisa, Miss Mouse and CJ. It was snowing hard when we leaved Nana and Poppa’s house. The roads were kinda slickery and the wind was blowing the snow all over the place. We meeted one of Mommy’s friends and The Liliputian there. I getted to meet the Moose from the Mini Golf place and we goed to the Build a Bear store it was HUGE!! Me and Miss Mouse and The Liliputian went to what used to be called Camp Snoopy to ride the rides. We had a great time!! By the time we leaved the Mall, the sun comed out and it was windy and getting colder. We eated dinner with more family and me and Mommy and Auntie Wisa taked some pie to Great-Grandma Julie. CJ and Miss Mouse and their daddy goed back to their hotel and went swimming in the pool.

By morning it was -20°F!! My ears sticked straight up when I seed that!! Me and Mommy taked Poppa’s car and picked up Auntie Wisa from the hotel. Did I mention it’s COLD in the car? Anyway, we goed to this cool place called White Castle. I wish we had them in Texas!! We picked up a bunch of little burgers and fries and taked them to Great-Grandma H. We meeted Auntie Dane there and I watched some guys fishing on the lake while all the ‘girls’ talked. Nana maked sketti on Sunday, too, and that was yumm-o!! Auntie Wisa drived CJ and Miss Mouse back home because them had to go to school on Monday. I was sad to see them go.

Mommy’s other friend picked her up and taked her shopping on Monday morning. Me and Rover stayed with Nana and Poppa and them showed us how the stock market works. When Mommy getted home, Poppa taked us downtown to the eye doctor. Mommy’s eyes looked really funny!! We walked over to Candyland and I thought I was in Heaven!! We seed our old apartment and then we taked some cheese corn to Great-Grandma. Mommy said good-bye to her and then we goed back home. Me and Mommy packed up our suitcase to get ready for our flight on Tuesday. We had some lunch at Arby’s and then we visited some of Nana and Poppa’s friends before we goed to the airport.

We had a really good trip and it’s too bad we couldn’t stay longer. I kept Nana and Great-Grandma entertained, and they really liked the coat I borrowed from Klondike. I’m glad I had that or I’d have been a bunnysicle by the time I got back to Texas. I want to go on vacation again soon. Where should we go?

Minnesnowda

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!

Mommy was going to take us to Minnesnowda to be in the Winter Carnival Parade, but we didn’t make it. Her buyed something called stock in ice blocks for the Winter Carnival and they said her could come and march in the parade. Her thinked it would be cool to be in the parade because her hasn’t even getted to watch the parade since her was a little girl. We thinked it would be cool because we could take our cousins Miss Mouse and CJ to the parade, too. We didn’t know which parade until it was too late to buy airplane tickets and then her getted the cold in her’s head and her couldn’t fly like that so we stayed home.

Mommy said we’re still going to get to go to Minnesnowda pretty soon. We need to go visit our great-grandmas and uncles and cousins and show CJ and Miss Mouse some cool tricks on Flickr. We’re not sure when we’re going but we hope it’s not going to be too cold when we gets there!! We’re going to go to Candyland and get some cheese corn for our great grandmas and popcorn for Nana and Poppa and some other candy for us!! Yumm-o!! When we get some we’ll share with everybody!!

Mooooving!!!

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

Well, we getted some bad news the other day. Mommy getted a letter from the apartment managers that said it was time to renew our lease. They said they wanted to raise our rent and Mommy said it was too much so we gots to move. We don’t know where we’re going yet, but we will find a new place. We know Mommy wanted to be able to move back to Minnesnowda this spring and we aren’t going to be able to do that because Mommy’s job won’t let her go. Mommy said we have to be good bunnies and doggies and help her pack up our stuff so we can move to a new house here in Hugetown by the end of March. We’re kind of sad about that because we really like this apartment. It gots lots of trees and places to play and we getta see lots of birdies and the froggies tells us bedtime stories at night.

So if you don’t hear from us beary often it’s probly because we is busy helping Mommy pack boxes. Her has been really busy with work being sick and stuff, so her said we gots to start packing now so we’ll be ready to go. We’ll be here as often as we can and will keep you all posted on how we’re doing.

New Year Adventure

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

We had our first adventure of the new year and we didn’t even have to leave the house! The Teddy Zoo Krewe of Kalamazoo sended us a message asking us to help a new friend by letting them live with us here in Texas. We can’t turn down a cry for help from our friends! It hadda be all secret because our new friend was being accused of stealing the mail from the Post Office and we didn’t want the authorities to catched him before him getted here and we could help him clear him’s name.

Teddy Zoo Krewe helped him pack him’s suitcase and sneaked him onto a plane with the United Potato headS. Him getted here in record time and when we opened the suitcase we finded out that him bringed his girlfriend and them eloped on the way!! It was really nice and now Piggi is really happy because we gots another girrrl in the house. The Detective Doggies are working with Inspector Ada to help clear Pete’s name. We should be ready to present Pete’s case to the Postal Peeps pretty soon. We hope you’ve had lots of great adventures so far this year just like we have!!

Merry Chrimmas and Happy New Year!!!

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

Merry Chrimmas to everyone!! We had a really great Chrimmas and hope all of you did, too!! Mommy finded us some cool Chrimmas card from Hugetown where we live to send to all of our friends. We writed Chrimmas cards for our Flickr friends during the Thanksgiving holiday. That was lots of fun!! Right after Thanksgiving we getted to meet our friends Patrick, Mr. Inbisable and Uncle Theo with Monkey & Timmy. Uncle Theo hadda go to the Doll Hopspital because we thinked him had broken legs. Patrick bringed us a present from the Teddy Zoo Krewe in Kalamazoo!! It was a beary cool mug for drinking hot chocolate! We bringed them a special present, too! Our cousin Rowdy wanted to go live with in Mitchergan so we gived him a big hug and sended him home with Patrick and Uncle Theo.

After that Mommy taked us for rides in the car to see Chrimmas decorations. We seed a lot of really cool and pretty decorations in people’s yards. We wished we had a yard to decorate!! Then we getted to go to Dickens on the Strand in Galveston. We had a great time there because there was some snow and a parade and lots of peoples was in costumes. We finded a wood train with my name on it and we seed a statue of a Buddha that reminded us of our friend Teddy in China.

This year we getted to help put up the tree. It was great!! We used teamwork (and a step ladder) to put the ornaments on the tree. We getted the tree all decorated in no time. This year we telled Mommy we wanted to put all the snowmans on the tree this year. We getted them all on and then we putted some Santas and some angels on the tree, too. It looked really nice. We really enjoyed looking at the tree at night with the lights on. Sometimes Mommy would sit in the chair with us.

Pretty soon we started getting all kinds of cards and packages from our plushie friends all over the world. Nana and Poppa sended us a really cool card with bunnies and trains. The Teddy Zoo Krewe sended us their picture in a card, too. It was a beary nice picture!! Our package from Nigel, Gund, George and the Naner Lady had some snuggle carrots in it and some great toys! Fudgie liked playing with the whoopie cushion. The Monkey & Timmy Krewe sended us a package with more toys and candy!! It was really cool!! Ellie and Arthur sended us a nice card. One day we getted a movie from one of our Flickr friends. We getted more cards from the Growler family and Flt Lt Bear!! Yay!!!

We getted a big box from Mitchergan that comed from Seamus and Shortbread and their family.The bestest surprise was in that box – we getted a hippopotamus for Chrimmas!!! Our hippo friend’s name is Ada. Her was named after a famous computer lady. A new friend from the Dashing Danish Bunny Sled Team comed in the box with Miss Ada. His name was Jingles and him bringed a sled for us to play with!! We all getted to take a ride on the sled and it was lots of fun even though we don’t gots any snow!! Nana and Poppa sended us some great presents and now we can go to Dairy Queen again!! Santa comed on Chrimmas Eve and we getted more movies we had on our list. It was sooo cool!!

We had the BESTEST CHRIMMAS EVER!!!!!

Mommy taked the tree down New Year’s weekend and we putted all the ornaments away for another year. We wanted to send some presents to our friends for New Year’s but Mommy getted behind and we didn’t get them out. We feel really bad about that, but there are more great holidays coming and we’re looking forward to another great year with our friends!!

Making A List…

Hi Everybody, it’s me, Alex!!

Nana and Poppa are asking for our Christmas lists. Yay!! Chrimmas is our favoritest time of the year. It means a lot of things and those are all very important, but we likes the part where we get to make cookies and give and get toys, candy and presents best!! We maked a Amazon Wishlist – that is SO cool!! Everybody should have a Amazon wish list!! Beside what’s on Amazon, these things is on our list this year.
