Hi everybody, it’s me, Alex!

USS Kidd DDG 100Nana and Poppa are coming back to Texas!! Poppa was on a Navy boat before Mommy was borned. It was called the U.S.S. Kidd and it lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His boat was decommissioned in 1964, but the Navy builded several new boats with the same name. The last one got sold to the Chinese in 1998. The newest boat was built in 2005, but it didn’t get commissioned because it got damaged during Hurricane Katrina. Katrina was a bad hurricane that hitted a lot of the Gulf Coast but not Texas two years ago. Not long after Katrina was Rita and we had to leave our house for that one. Fortunately, Mommy was already going to Austin so her had a room reserved and places to go. We drived for 12 hours to get to Austin to get away from the hurricane. It was scary for us kids. So anyway, this boat getted fixed and now they’re going to commission it in Galveston and Poppa getted invited to see it!! Hopefully, Nana and Poppa can bring my cousin CJ with them. Mommy has been trying to get my Auntie Wisa to let the kids come visit, so if CJ comes with Nana and Poppa, then Auntie Wisa and Miss Mouse can come before or after that for a special visit of their own. I’m sure we’ll all have fun no matter who comes!!

Hi everybody, it’s me, Alex!

PeepsToday was my most FAVORITEST holidays of the year – EASTER!! It’s the bestest BUNNY holiday all year long. Mommy says that’s because it’s the only bunny holiday all year long. 🙂

I getted an Easter basket with some Peeps and some Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs in it. The Easter Bunny didn’t bring me any cocoa Peeps. He musta runned out. I don’t like jelly beans all that much. They remind me of bunny poops. I would have liked a chocolate bunny statue of myself, but Mommy said I’m too little to have that much chocolate. We were going to make some Easter eggs, but ran out of time. Mommy bringed some home from her friends’ house tonight, but they’re already egg salad. >:-|

Her said we can still make some more hard boiled eggs and I can decorate them. That will be fun! I hope everyone had a Hoppy Easter!!

Happy Birthday to ME!! Happy Birthday to ME!!

Alex's BirthdayHi Everybody, it’s me, Alex, and it’s my birthday!! My birthday was actually Saturday but because today was Easter (the biggest and best BUNNY holiday of the year), my birthday lasted all weekend! Woo-hoo!

Nana and Poppa forgetted my birthday and that made me sad, but they did send me a e-mail after I reminded them it was my birthday. Nana said her didn’t have time to do Easter cards, either. You’d think they would remember their ONLY grandrabbit’s birthday and most FAVORITEST holiday of the year, wouldn’t you? Fortunately, Mommy knows when my birthday is and her got me toys, candy and presents. It rained all day on my birthday so we didn’t get to go anywhere. Instead, we stayed in and Mommy and me watched Pirates of the Caribbean, Dead Man’s Chest and Happy Feet. I likeded Happy Feet better than the Pirates movie. The Pirates movie had a dumb ending. Mommy maked me a special birthday cake. It was just like the one we seed on telebision. We watched that lady, Paula Dean, on the Food Channel, and Mommy maked me the same cake her made on her show. It was the bestest! I even got to lick the beaters! Mommy said we can go out somewhere special now that the weather’s nice again. I want to go someplace fun. I’ll think of somewhere and let you all know what it is.

Happy Easter!

On their BUNNYMOON!!!! HA HA HAHAHA HA HA!!!!

Hi everybody, it’s me, Alex! I got that great joke from my cousin today. Her CRACKS me up!! I miss seeing my cousins, but maybe they can come to Texas sometime soon.

Easter BunnyThe Easter Bunny is coming this weekend!! I LOVE the Easter Bunny! Him’s related to me, too!! We have fun with hard boiled eggs and Mommy gets some Reese’s Peanut Butter Eggs and we have fun. Mommy said we might go look at some new plants this weekend. One of her pretty flower bushes died this week and her wants to see about getting a new one. Her said that her wants some herbs, too. I like herbs <wink> <wink>.

It’s been really pretty outside again the last couple of days. It rained at the beginning of the week, but then it got nice and cool and kind of dry. Mommy likes that because she gets to open the windows and turn off the air conditioner. I like that, too, because I get to hear the birdies and the froggies outside.

Night OwlOH!! I almost forgot the coolest thing this week! The other night we was sleeping and it was late and we heard this funny noise outside. It was still hot outside so Mommy had the windows closed but we could still hear this noise from outside. It went Hoo, Hoo-Hoo, Hoo over and over and over. Mommy said it was a owl. Normally, I don’t like owls because sometimes they eat little animals like mouses and bunnies, but because I live inside I’m not as scared. Especially when Mommy’s in the house. Anyway, Mommy said the owl was trying to talk to somebody outside. We finded a neat page about owls that has their calls on it. It’s at http://www.owlpages.com/sounds.php, and guess what? The owl sound we heard was like a Great Horned Owl, and the one on that website was recorded in Houston, Minnesota, where my cousins and Auntie Wisa live. How cool is that?

Well, Mommy said I hafta go to bed now. I’m gonna go listen for owls and see if I hear any other ones. There’s some cool owl calls on that website. Go check it out!

Nana!! Poppa!!
Hiding It rained and rained and rained last night. Then there was thunder and lightning and it was scary. We jumped in Mommy’s bed under the pillow. I’m glad we sleeped in Mommy’s bed so that no storms or monsters could get us. Now we’re all tired and crabby because the thunder boomed really early in the morning. Even Mommy jumped a foot and a half off the bed!! Then that poopy man downstairs comed home at 4:30 with his big truck and was throwing metal things in his garage and running his truck for at least a hour.

ScaryAfter Mommy went to work, it rained and there was hail and more thunder. The really scary part was about 5:00 tonight. It got really dark and really windy and the rain was blowing all over and you couldn’t see out the window. We was really scared!!

It doesn’t help that Gregg’s been out watching scary movies after everybody else went to bed.

Love, Alex
